In Our Care

From the first conversation to the final note.

Every service begins with a conversation. We listen — to who they were, what they loved, and what the family needs to hear. Together, we choose the songs and shape a music plan that reflects the life being honored.

When live music is desired, Laurel & Grace coordinates the musical support for the service — thoughtfully considering the family's preferences, traditions, language needs, ceremony setting, and requested selections.

From the moment we are engaged, we coordinate directly with your funeral home, church, cemetery, or venue to confirm timing, song placement, arrival details, and the practical needs of the service. On the day, we arrive early and offer live music with presence and care — for the life being honored.

Curated recorded music for the gathering is also available for families who prefer it, selected with the same attention to the person, their songs, and their era.

Also in Our Care

For families who would like additional ceremony support, Laurel & Grace can coordinate a compassionate celebrant or officiant to help lead the gathering with warmth, dignity, and care.

The Standard

The voice at a service matters.

Laurel & Grace was founded on that simple belief. Every live-music professional engaged for a Laurel & Grace service is selected with care and guided by the standard set by our founder — more than two decades of standing with families, musical excellence, professional preparation, and a heart for the moment.

A Note from Our Founder

For more than two decades, I have had the honor of standing with families in their most tender moments — offering music that gives voice to love, grief, and remembrance when words fall short.

I founded Laurel & Grace so every family could receive that same care: thoughtful music, clear coordination, and a steady presence for the moments that matter.

Questions

Thoughtfully answered.

What kinds of music do you sing?

Gospel, hymns, sacred music, jazz, adult contemporary, and meaningful family-requested selections. We will talk with you about the music that best reflects the person being honored and the tone of the service.

What is a celebrant?

A celebrant is a trained ceremony leader who can help guide a memorial or celebration-of-life service. Depending on the family's wishes, a celebrant may offer reflections, lead the ceremony, or help shape a meaningful tribute. Services may be faith-honoring, spiritual, secular, or a blend of what feels true to the person being remembered.

Do you work with families or funeral homes?

Both. We work directly with families and coordinate with funeral homes, churches, cemeteries, and venues to make the music portion of the service feel seamless, personal, and well cared for.

How does Laurel & Grace coordinate live music?

We begin by learning about the person being honored, the service format, and the family's musical wishes. We then guide song selection, confirm the ceremony details with the funeral home or venue, and coordinate the appropriate live musical support for the gathering.

What areas do you serve?

Southern California, including greater Los Angeles and the Inland Empire.
